DiSRUPT Agency thrilled to add giving Partner
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that we are working with our new charity partner, First Days Children's Charity.
The DiSRUPT Agency giving family is growing as we look forward to working with an organisation that gives choice, restores dignity and empowers families who are living with a low income or are experiencing financial hardship.
Who are First Days Children’s Charity?
The Wokingham-based organisation offer peer support and one to one coaching to parents, whilst providing everyday essentials for children who need them. Distributing school uniforms, new baby essentials, beds and bedding, travel equipment, toiletries, safety items, furniture, toys and books, and more.
They have a number of projects that support children and parents including advising on, digital inclusion, safety at home and getting out and about. They also help with providing the very special occasions for those who are struggling like birthday parties and Christmas celebrations.
First Days was started in 2013 in response to needs in the local community in Berkshire. The charity grew very quickly and now, nearly eight years later, they have staff and volunteers and have helped over 10,000 children and distributed over 250 tonnes of donated goods.
In their first year in 2021, they provided;
- 412 beds
- 191 pushchairs
- 38,780 nappies
- 950 school uniforms
- Christmas presents for 658 children
Patrick Graham, Co-Founder of DiSRUPT Agency said, “We are so proud to partner with a brilliant organisation like First Days. The cost-of-living crisis, coupled with the lingering effects of the pandemic has been hard on so many and ensuring families can still access the essentials is so important. Everything they do is firmly rooted in love and generosity, and we want to help spread kindness to children currently experiencing poverty.”
What can DiSRUPT do?
First Days joins our group of brilliant charity partners Naomi House & Jacksplace, Buddy Bag Foundation and Chapter2 to make an impact on our local communities together.
We look forward to supporting First Days Children's Charity by making donations to the charity and providing specific impacts to their wish-list needs.
Emma Ruttle, Sustainability Manager at DiSRUPT said, “First Days is important to support families in their time of need, the no fuss approach of passing things on from one family to another helps us provide specific impacts that make a big difference to children’s lives. We believe in the mutual value of doing good and we celebrate it.”
